First, an active/passive pickup switch adapts to any instrument, with adjustable input gain to easily dial in exactly the right level for your axe. PURE and JFET input channels give you more tonal options, from transparent to warm. Z-TONE DI also offers a patent-pending variable impedance control, letting you dial shape your sound In unique ways. At the maximum impedance, you’ll find your sound tighter, sharper and more precise. Increase the load and the sound becomes thicker and more bold. Z-TONE DI offers a range of output options, including balanced XLR output (with a switchable ground lif, to eliminate noise and hum), an unbalanced ?” output and a Link out mirroring the input signal. An optional 20 dB pad extends the useful range of the unit. Z-TONE DI runs off a 9V battery or +48v phantom power and is made in Italy for years of reliable performance.
