明治31年東京・浅草生れ。14歳で鏑木清方
に日本画を師事、巽画会、郷土会で活動を
続ける。芸艸堂版は昭和20年頃より版行を
はじめ、100点近くの作品を発表。
日本各地を題材とした作品は近年再評価
されています。
掲載作品は現在も再版している作品です。
（当時摺られた版画（初摺り）は海外など
で高値で売買されています）

Shiro Kasamatsu was a student of
Kaburagi Kiyokata.
In the 1950s he published bird
and animal prints, landscapes and
"famous views" with the publisher
Unsodo- alltogether more than 100.
The print is reprinted.
Shiro Kasamatsu worked in Shin Hanga
and Sosaku Hanga style.
